Follow Up Boss Smart Lists, Built and Ranked by Ace
Ace Smart Lists are curated Follow Up Boss Smart Lists that Ace builds and deploys straight into your CRM — five free, and ten with the Ace Trove add-on. Each list filters your database by Ace's AI Win Score and churn risk, then ranks it, so the leads worth calling today surface in the tool your team already lives in.
Most Follow Up Boss teams already run their day from Smart Lists. The problem is that a genuinely useful Smart List — "high-value leads that have gone quiet," "hot buyers to call right now," "deals slipping toward dead" — is hard to build by hand. You would need scoring fields Follow Up Boss doesn't ship, and you would need to know the exact, undocumented filter rules that decide whether a list returns the right people or silently returns nobody.
Ace does both. It writes AI scores into your Follow Up Boss custom fields, then deploys a curated set of Smart Lists built on those scores — native, in FUB, where your agents already work. No retraining, no new tab. (For the scoring side of this, see how AI improves lead scoring in Follow Up Boss.)
What are Ace Smart Lists?
Ace Smart Lists are pre-built Follow Up Boss Smart Lists that Ace deploys into your account. Each one is filtered by Ace signals — an AI Win Score and Churn Risk on the free tier, plus opportunity and seller signals with Ace Trove — and pre-ranked so the highest-priority contacts sit at the top. Because they are real FUB Smart Lists, they open in the interface your team already knows, on desktop and mobile.
There are ten lists in the catalog: five are free on every Follow Up Ace account, and the full ten unlock with the Ace Trove add-on, which adds the account-wide opportunity and seller intelligence the remaining lists depend on.
The five free lists
The free tier is a complete lead-triage workflow on its own. Every list below runs on the two free Ace fields — Win Score and Churn Risk — plus native Follow Up Boss data, and each is ranked by Win Score so the best contact is first. If you are wiring this into an existing follow-up system, pair it with automated lead follow-up and the workflows that convert online leads.
| List | Who it surfaces |
|---|---|
| Uncontacted Leads | Leads you have never reached out to. Works day one — even before scoring finishes. |
| Hot Leads | Your highest Win Score contacts — roughly the top 5% for your account. |
| High-Value Going Cold | Strong leads (top ~15%) that have gone quiet for 14–45 days. |
| Save List | High churn-risk contacts that are still valuable and still reachable. |
| Slipping Away | Good leads neglected for 45–120 days — the last window before they go dead. |
The re-engagement lists are deliberately disjoint: "High-Value Going Cold" ends at 45 days exactly where "Slipping Away" begins, so a neglected contact shows up in one list, not three. That is the difference between a triage queue and noise.
The five Ace Trove lists
With Ace Trove, five more lists unlock. These lean on Trove's account-wide fields — Opportunity type, Seller Tier, and an estimated commission value — that base Ace doesn't populate:
- Hot Buyers Now — contacts flagged as active buyers with a high Win Score.
- Ready Sellers — contacts in the highest Seller Tier bands.
- Likely Sellers — likely or active sellers worth working now.
- At-Risk Opportunities — opportunities Ace has flagged as going sideways.
- Biggest Opportunities — top contacts ranked by their estimated commission value (est.).
Seller Tier is written to a Follow Up Boss field, so a "Ready Sellers" list is something you simply could not assemble in FUB without Ace behind it.
Do I have to build or maintain them?
No. When you connect Follow Up Boss, Ace deploys the lists automatically — the process is idempotent and best-effort, so it never blocks or breaks your signup. As the catalog improves, Ace re-syncs the lists on your next connect without anyone clicking anything. The lists are shared team-wide, so every agent on the account sees the same queue.
You never write a filter. This matters more than it sounds: Follow Up Boss's Smart List filter rules are undocumented and fail quietly — a wrong operator returns an empty or match-everyone list with no error. Ace encodes the correct, live-verified rules once, so every deployed list actually returns the right people.
Why "top 5%" instead of "Win Score above 80"?
A fixed cutoff like "Win Score over 80" breaks across accounts, because score distributions differ from one database to the next — on some accounts that cutoff would select nobody, leaving the list empty. Instead, Ace resolves each list's intent ("the hottest ~5%," "the strong ~15%") to your account's own score distribution, using percentile bands rather than absolute numbers.
Accounts with too few scored contacts fall back to sensible fixed thresholds so a brand-new account still gets working lists on day one. The thresholds recompute every time the lists deploy or re-sync, so they track your data as it changes — no cron, no manual tuning.
Will it touch the smart lists I already built?
No. Ace only manages the lists it owns by name. Retired list names from earlier versions are cleaned up on an exact-name basis only — never by pattern — so a Smart List you named yourself is never in scope. And if you want a custom variant of an Ace list, just rename your copy: a renamed list is never touched again. You can also opt out of any individual Ace list from the admin dashboard, and Ace will remove it and stop recreating it.
Where Ace Smart Lists stop, and the live queue begins
A Follow Up Boss Smart List has one static filter and a single sort column. Each Ace list ships pre-ranked by the single most relevant Ace field for it — already sharper than a hand-built list, and native in FUB.
But a static column sort is not the same as live, multi-signal ranking. In the Ace Companion, the NOW queue blends many signals — Win band, churn, seller signals, recency, and speed-to-lead — weighted by your team's playbook, and re-ranks continuously. The split is intentional: the Smart List is the familiar, zero-retraining entry point inside Follow Up Boss; the Companion is where the deeper ranking lives. Both point at the same contacts — one is the doorway, the other is where the ranking actually runs.
The bottom line
If your team lives in Follow Up Boss Smart Lists, Ace meets you there: five curated, AI-ranked lists free on every account, ten with Ace Trove, deployed automatically and kept in sync — so the right contacts surface first, without anyone building a filter. It is the fastest way to turn the database you already own into a daily call list that ranks itself.
