What is the Follow Up Ace iPhone app? A free iOS app for agents who run their business in Follow Up Boss. It is not a second CRM — Follow Up Boss stays the system of record. It is the layer on top: a ranked queue of who to work next, a drafted message waiting on each person, one-tap texting from your own number, and push alerts when a new lead lands or a draft is ready.

The app is built around one screen and one loop, because that is what a phone is good for. Everything below is a shipped behavior, not a roadmap item — the code reference for each is in the page source.
NOW, then NEXT
The app opens on NOW — the one person to work, with the brief that explains why they are at the top. NEXT is the rest of the ranked queue behind them. Your team lead tunes the ranking rules; the app just shows you the answer.

Text from your own number
Ace writes the draft. The iPhone's own Messages composer opens pre-filled. You tap Send — from your real number, so the reply comes back as a normal conversation, not a marketing thread.
There is no silent-send path in the app. Not a limitation we work around — a stance: every send in the app is yours. (Server-side automations an admin turns on — like Ace Autopilot — are separate, drafts-first, and documented.)
Every touch lands in FUB
The moment the text goes out, the app records it on the Follow Up Boss timeline. Your history stays complete whether you worked from the app, the browser, or Follow Up Boss itself — and your team lead's reporting stays honest.
If the logging call fails, the app tells you and offers a retry — the text already went out, and a missing timeline record is the failure we own.

It buzzes for two things. That's the whole list.
A CRM app that cries wolf gets deleted. Ace only raises a banner for work you actually have to do, and the rules are fixed in code, not left to a settings maze.
- A new lead was assigned to you. This one ignores quiet hours on purpose. Answering a fresh lead in minutes is the entire product; a 10:40 PM Zillow inquiry is not something we are going to sit on until morning.
- Ace drafted something and is holding it for you. This one does respect quiet hours — 9 PM to 8 AM on your phone's own clock, not a server's. A prepared draft can wait until breakfast.
- Everything else syncs silently. When you handle something on your laptop, the app quietly catches up in the background. It does not buzz your pocket to tell you about your own work.
Tapping a notification opens that contact, already loaded. The app icon carries your open-alert count as a badge, and it goes down when you clear alerts anywhere — not just in the app.
Before you download, the honest checklist.
- An iPhone or iPad on iOS 15.0 or later. The App Store listing is filed under Business, rated 4+, and priced Free.
- A Follow Up Boss account, and a Follow Up Ace seat on it. There is no sign-up screen in the app. Seats are created when your team connects Follow Up Boss to Follow Up Ace — which brings the whole roster across at once. Free seats can sign in; the seat you have determines what you see once you are in.
- Your work email — no password. Type the same address your team uses in Follow Up Boss and Ace emails you a 6-digit code. If no code arrives, that address is not linked to an active seat yet; ask your admin to add you.
- Voice needs a Pro seat. Voice is a Pro-seat capability and it is read-only by design — it answers, summarizes, and prepares the draft; you still tap Send.
Apple's App Store rules say digital subscriptions sold inside an app have to go through Apple's own purchase system. Rather than route your team's billing through Apple, we simply turned buying off on iOS: on iPhone and iPad there are no prices, no upgrade buttons, and no checkout — locked features just render quietly. Plans are managed on the web at followupace.com/pricing, by you or by your admin. We would rather you read that here than discover it at the moment you wanted to upgrade.
It does not replace the Follow Up Boss app. It sits next to it.
Follow Up Boss publishes its own excellent mobile app, and you should keep it. The two are answering different questions.
The Follow Up Boss app answers “what is on this contact?”
Your pipeline, your contact records, your call and text history, your tasks — the CRM itself, in your pocket. That is where your data lives and it is not going anywhere.
The Follow Up Ace app answers “who do I work, and what do I say?”
Ranking across your whole book, a written draft for the person at the top, and the send logged back onto the FUB timeline. It reads and writes through Follow Up Boss — it does not ask you to migrate anything.
The same account also reaches Ace three other ways, and they all share the same memory: the assistant embedded inside Follow Up Boss on desktop, the Companion in any browser (the Android and desktop path — it is a Progressive Web App, so it installs to a home screen), and Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP connector on Pro seats.

Is there a Follow Up Boss app for iPhone?
Follow Up Boss publishes its own mobile app, and Follow Up Ace publishes a separate free iPhone app called Follow Up Ace. They do different jobs. The Follow Up Boss app is your CRM in your pocket. The Follow Up Ace app is the AI layer on top of it: it ranks your book so the person to work next is at the top, writes the message for that person, and records the send back on the Follow Up Boss timeline. Most agents keep both installed.
How much does the Follow Up Ace iPhone app cost?
The app itself is free to download on the App Store. It signs you in to the Follow Up Ace seat your team already has, so what you see inside depends on that seat — free, Ace, or Ace Pro. There are no in-app purchases: on iOS every upgrade button is hidden, so if you want to change plans you do it on the web at followupace.com.
Do I need a Follow Up Boss account to use the app?
Yes. The app has no sign-up screen — seats are created when a team connects Follow Up Boss to Follow Up Ace, which brings every teammate across automatically. Ace writes the draft; the iPhone's own Messages composer opens with it pre-filled and you tap Send yourself, from your real number, so replies come back as a normal conversation. There is no silent-send path in the app at all. Once the message goes out, Follow Up Ace records it on the Follow Up Boss timeline so the history stays complete.
What notifications does the app send?
Two kinds, both about work you have to do: a new lead assigned to you, and a draft Ace has prepared and is holding for you. New-lead alerts are never held back — answering fast is the whole point. Draft alerts go silent during your phone's local quiet hours, 9 PM to 8 AM. Background state updates, like a suggestion you already handled elsewhere, sync without buzzing your pocket at all.
Is there a Follow Up Ace app for Android?
