Connect Follow Up Boss to Windsurf.

Ace AI is the FUB-native real-estate copilot. Windsurf (Codeium's MCP-aware editor) reads MCP servers from ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json — drop one JSON block in and Cascade gets 189 Follow Up Boss tools to act on your CRM.

Before you start: The MCP connector requires an Ace Pro seat ($55/mo). Sign up free first. Then, if your team pays for your seat, ask your admin to move you to Ace Pro from the Seats page; if you pay for your own seat, upgrade it yourself. Each agent also connects their own Follow Up Boss login in Ace once, so the connector only sees what Follow Up Boss lets you see.

  1. Open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

    In Windsurf, open the Cascade panel, click the hammer icon, and choose Configure MCP Servers — it opens the file. (Or open it yourself in any editor.)

  2. Paste the followupace server.

  3. Refresh and sign in.

    Hit the refresh icon on the MCP servers panel. The first call to Ace prompts you to sign in with the email on your Ace Pro seat (normally the work email you use in Follow Up Boss) — a 6-digit code is mailed to that inbox; paste it back.

  4. Connect your own Follow Up Boss login (one time).

    Open Ace inside Follow Up Boss (or, in the Ace workspace, Settings → Integrations) and click Connect as yourself, authorizing with your own Follow Up Boss login. The connector answers through it, so it only sees the contacts Follow Up Boss lets you see. Until you do, your first CRM request will ask you to connect.

Why this matters for realtors

Windsurf's Cascade agent is autonomous — give it a goal and it iterates. Hooking Follow Up Boss in means a single Windsurf agent can do "pull every Zillow lead from the last 72 hours, score them, draft a first-touch text, and tee them up for me to approve" without leaving the editor.
