Production MCP endpoint
The DXT proxies MCP over HTTPS to https://followupace.com/api/mcp. That URL is fixed by the extension manifest and accepts the live, role-scoped production tool registry; the signed token is sent in an Authorization header, never in the URL.

Signed, revocable authentication
Generate a signed MCP token under Follow Up Ace Settings → Integrations → MCP and paste it into FollowUpAce MCP Token. Tokens expire and can be revoked; replace an expired token and revoke outstanding sessions when a device is lost, shared, or retired.

What is DXT and how does it work?
DXT is Claude Desktop's extension package format. The Follow Up Ace DXT contains a local stdio-to-HTTPS proxy and its production endpoint configuration. Installation avoids editing a JSON config file, but you must paste the signed MCP token generated in Ace settings; the package never contains your Follow Up Boss password or API key.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude connect to external tools and data sources. Ace implements an MCP server that exposes all Follow Up Boss functionality as structured tools. When Claude Desktop connects via MCP, it can read your contacts, create tasks, send emails, pull market data, and perform any CRM action — all through natural conversation.
Do I need a special subscription?
Follow Up Ace MCP access requires an active Ace Pro seat and a live Follow Up Boss connection. Claude Desktop availability and pricing are controlled separately by Anthropic. The signed MCP token expires and is revocable, so setup must be repeated when a token is replaced or the authorization is revoked.
Is Claude Desktop different from the Ace widget?
Both clients reach Follow Up Ace, but the host, interface, and available operations differ. Claude Desktop receives the production MCP registry filtered for the authenticated user's FUB role and Ace entitlements; the embed has its own UI and server endpoints. Verify the exact tools shown in each surface instead of assuming identical lists.
