The Ace Chrome Bridge: Give Ace the Full Conversation
Updated July 5, 2026
Ace can only coach as well as it can see. The Ace Chrome Bridge gives Ace the full conversation — the actual words in your calls, texts, and emails — instead of a summary. This article explains what it is, why it matters, and how to turn it on.
What is the Ace Chrome Bridge?
The Ace Chrome Bridge is a small Chrome extension. As you work in Follow Up Boss, it captures the calls, texts, and emails already on your screen and syncs them to your own Follow Up Ace account, so your Ace timeline stays fresh and full-context. It is your data, flowing to your own account.
Why it matters (the API content gap)
Follow Up Boss's API returns the bodies of your calls, texts, and emails as hidden. So anything talking to Follow Up Boss through the API — including an AI assistant — sees the metadata of a conversation (who, when, which channel) but not the words inside it. That is why an assistant working purely from the API can tell you a text was sent, but not what it said.
The Bridge closes that gap using only what you can already see. When Ace has the real conversation, its recall, summaries, and draft replies get dramatically sharper — because they are grounded in what was actually said, not an outline of it.
Is it included in my plan?
The Ace Chrome Bridge is a Pro capability. It requires a Follow Up Ace account, and you sign in with the same email you use for the Ace Companion. A Pro seat unlocks the fuller intelligence that the captured conversations power.
How do I install and connect it?
Setup is a one-time step, then you just work normally:
- Add the extension to Chrome from the Ace Chrome Bridge install page.
- Sign in to Follow Up Ace once in your browser (the same login as your Ace Companion). The Bridge uses that session — there is no separate password to manage.
- Browse Follow Up Boss normally. As you open contacts and read their calls, texts, and emails, the Bridge quietly syncs them to your own Ace account in the background.
The extension icon shows a quick status — whether capture is active and how it's syncing — so you always know it's working.
Am I in control of what it captures?
Completely. From the extension popup you can:
- Toggle channels individually — turn calls, texts, or emails on or off on their own.
- Pause everything with one master switch.
- Uninstall anytime — capture stops immediately.
Where does my data go?
Only to your own Follow Up Ace account, over an encrypted connection. There is exactly one destination — followupace.com — and the extension contains zero third-party analytics or tracking. Your captures are never sold, never used for advertising, never used for any creditworthiness decision, and never used to train AI models. The extension runs on only two web addresses (Follow Up Boss, to read what you see, and Follow Up Ace, to send it to your account) and asks for just local storage and a sync timer. Retention follows your account's data policy. Full details are in the Follow Up Ace Privacy Policy.
How do I get it?
The Ace Chrome Bridge is rolling out through the Chrome Web Store. In the interim, you can install it manually from your account — see the install page for the current steps. If you're on a team, your admin can point everyone to the same page.
