Ace Autopilot: Autonomous Follow-Up, Drafts-First

Updated August 28, 2026

Ace Autopilot is the part of Ace that works the leads nobody on your team is touching — and hands them back the moment they engage. It selects new and resurfacing contacts no one is working, writes each of them a personalized touch grounded in something real about that specific person, runs every message through the Fair-Housing compliance scan and consent checks, and stops the instant a lead replies.

Drafts-first: how trust is earned

Autopilot starts in drafts-first mode. The whole loop runs — selection, composition, compliance, consent — but every touch lands in the assigned agent's one-tap suggestion queue instead of the lead's inbox. You watch what Autopilot would have sent before it ever sends.

When you're ready, an admin graduates one playbook at a time to autonomous sending — and can send any playbook back to drafts-first with one switch, at any moment. Nothing ever sends on its own before you graduate it.

Turning it on

  1. Enable Ace Trove from the Billing page — Autopilot is included with the Ace Trove add-on.
  2. Open Autopilot in the admin dashboard (inside the Ace Trove group), flip on Autopilot on for this account, and enable the playbooks you want — for example the new-lead first touch or resurfacing re-engagement.
  3. Aim it under Who Autopilot may work: your whole eligible book, or only contacts you tag ace-autopilot in Follow Up Boss. Tag any contact ace-autopilot-exclude to keep Autopilot off them in either mode — a tag controls scope, never consent.
  4. Watch the drafts land in your agents' queues. When you like what you see, turn off Review every touch as a draft first to graduate — a confirmation explains exactly what changes.

Autopilot is rolling out to Ace Trove accounts in waves: your settings save immediately and take effect the moment your account is activated. The Autopilot page shows your account's live status.

The handoff

A reply, an email click, or a contact moving under contract stops the run instantly. The assigned agent gets an alert through their normal notification preferences, the contact jumps their queue, and the whole exchange is already logged on the Follow Up Boss timeline — the agent walks into a warm conversation, not a cold file.

Sending identity

Email touches send as the contact's assigned agent, from that agent's own connected Gmail — the address the lead already knows, with replies landing in the agent's real inbox. If the assigned agent has no connected sender, Autopilot refuses to work that contact rather than mailing from a platform address, so connecting each agent's Gmail is part of activation. Texting is available through the Autopilot SMS bridge.

One system, two motions

Autopilot is Ace's automated AI outreach system, built on the same live signal and webhook layer that scores your whole database, with one content engine writing every message. It runs two motions: the playbook loop described above (instant, for new and resurfacing leads), and the nurture cadences on the same Autopilot page — tag-driven, long-game email drips that run for every account.

What it costs

The playbook loop is included with Ace Trove — no per-message fees from Ace. The nurture cadences are usage-billed per nurtured contact. Email rides your agents' own Gmail; SMS delivers on your own Lead Engage subscription and is billed by them.

How Autopilot decides who to write — and everything it refuses to do — is covered in How Autopilot Decides Who to Contact.
