Your Queue: How Ace Sorts Your Day (and Why a Contact Resurfaces)

Your Companion queue (Now / Next) already ranked who to work today. This update adds a visible state to every person on it and a new reason a contact can jump the line: resurfacing, when someone who went quiet shows a real signal again.

What you'll have when you're done

  • A state chip on every contact in your queue — New, Working, Nurture, Resurfacing, In Transaction, Past Client, or Excluded — with a plain-English “why” underneath it.
  • A Resurfacing band at the top of your queue for contacts who went quiet and just showed a real signal, so it isn't buried under the usual new-lead noise.
  • A one-tap link into the Follow Up Boss record for any card, straight from the queue.

The seven states, plain-English

  • New — assigned to you, no first touch yet. This is a speed-to-lead clock.
  • Working — there's been real activity on this contact in the last 30 days.
  • Nurture — relevant, but no active momentum right now. The honest default when nothing else applies.
  • Resurfacing — was quiet, and something just happened: their score jumped, they crossed into a hot tier, or they broke a documented dormancy pattern. This is the one worth checking first.
  • In Transaction — there's an open deal. A different job than nurture, so it's called out separately.
  • Past Client (sphere) — a closed, won deal. Different than a cold lead — this is where referral and anniversary follow-ups live.
  • Excluded — lenders, vendors, other agents, DNC. Never shown as a lead to work.

A contact is in exactly one state at a time. The state is derived from what's actually in Follow Up Boss and Ace's own activity record — nobody files a contact into a state by hand, and correcting reality means updating it in FUB, not relabeling it in Ace.

Why a contact resurfaces

Every Resurfacing card names the exact signal and shows its evidence:

  • A dormancy break — the contact was quiet, then did something (opened a message, replied, browsed listings) that broke the pattern.
  • A score jump — their engagement score moved up meaningfully in a short window; the card shows both numbers.
  • A tier jump — they crossed into a hot tier.

A Resurfacing signal doesn't stay forever — it fades after about two weeks if nothing further happens, so the band always reflects something genuinely recent, not a stale flag from a month ago.

Free vs. Ace Trove

The state itself, the why line, and the Resurfacing band are on every account, free included — they cost nothing beyond what Ace already computes from your Follow Up Boss activity. What Ace Trove adds on top is ranking depth: dollar-sizing a resurfacing contact's likely deal value and win probability, and the funnel view your admin sees (below). Free tells you where everyone is; Trove tells you who to work first and roughly what it's worth.

Frequently asked questions

I don't see a chip on a contact I know is real.
The state is only shown once Ace has derived it for that contact. A brand-new contact, or one from before this update, may not have a state yet — nothing is guessed to fill the gap.

Can I filter my queue to just Resurfacing?
Yes, from the queue's state filter.

Does my admin control whether I see this?
The chip and the band ship the same way for every seat on an account; your admin's Dynamic Smart List ranking settings can reorder where the band sits in your queue.
